Why did God destroy the earth in the time of Noah? The Bible tells us the earth was full of violence. However, there is a lot of violence now.

There had to be other reasons. The Devil had a plan to destroy humanity using a technique known as genetic flooding.

Genetic flooding is when the characteristics of a small population are drowned out by a larger population. One  example is the red wolf.  In the 1950's there was left a very small population of red wolves in the eastern United States, and a large population of coyotes.  When coyotes started to mate with the red wolf, the pure red wolf eventually became extinct.

In a similar manner, the descendants of Adam were few compared to billions of angels. When evil angels known as demons started to mate with women, the progeny of these angels and human women were known as the nephilim. These were giants that were very strong. If the mating of satanic angels with women had continued, the pure human race would have been drowned out just like the red wolf.

Genesis 6
1 Now it came about, when men began to multiply on the face of the land, and daughters were born to them,
2 that the sons of God saw that the daughters of men were beautiful; and they took wives for themselves, whomever they chose.
3 Then the Lord said, “My Spirit shall not strive with man forever, because he also is flesh; nevertheless his days shall be one hundred and twenty years.”
4 The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men, and they bore children to them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown.
5 Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great on the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
6 The Lord was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart.

Another reason for the flood is Satan and his demons genetically altered all of God's creation by mixing DNA from different species. Ancient myths speak of creatures like the chimera that was part goat, lion, and snake. Also, these myths speak of creatures that were part animal and part human like the centaur that was a mix of horse and human.

These myths are a faded memory of what took place before the flood. The bible says all flesh had corrupted its path.

Genesis 6:12
 And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth.

We see that the goal of the evil angels was to destroy all the people and leave behind a tainted polluted race -- people, if we can call them that, which were part demon and evil to the core. 

God did not allow the mix of humans and demons to continue. He also did not allow monsters to survive -- for example, the chimera. However, we now have genetically modified food. Scientist are mixing human and cow DNA. This is similar to what happened in the days of Noah.

The Bible says that God will destroy those who are destroying the earth. By mixing DNA scientists are ruining God's work.

Revelation 11:18
And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.

As we explained on the left side, the Bible tells us that the  Nephilim (giants) were the offspring of demons and women. After God flooded the earth to destroy the giants, there were still giants on earth. How could this be?

There are two possibilities. One is that the offspring of Noah may have carried the giant gene. Another possibility is that demons could have mated with women again.

Genesis 6:9
These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.

The Bible says that Noah was perfect. However, it does not say that anyone else was perfect, so it may be that Noah's sons or their wives were carriers of the giant gene. This would explain giants after the flood.

Giants were present when Jews entered the promised land. In fact, men seemed like grasshoppers in comparison.

Numbers13:33
We saw the Nephilim there (the descendants of Anak come from the Nephilim). We seemed like grasshoppers in our own eyes, and we looked the same to them.

Israel was commanded by God to destroy all the giants in the land. They slew all of them. The last giant, King Og, had a bed that was nine cubits in length - about 12 feet.

Deuteronomy 3:11
For only Og king of Bashan remained of the remnant of giants; behold his bedstead was a bedstead of iron; is it not in Rabbath of the children of Ammon? nine cubits was the length thereof, and four cubits the breadth of it, after the cubit of a man.

After he was gone there were no giants anymore. The most famous of the giants is Goliath that fought with David.

Samuel 17:48-51
As the Philistine moved closer to attack him, David ran quickly toward the battle line to meet him. Reaching into his bag and taking out a stone, he slung it and struck the Philistine on the forehead. The stone sank into his forehead, and he fell facedown on the ground. So David triumphed over the Philistine with a sling and a stone; without a sword in his hand he struck down the Philistine and killed him. David ran and stood over him. He took hold of the Philistine’s sword and drew it from the sheath. After he killed him, he cut off his head with the sword.

The Bible says that the last days will be like the days of Noah. Giants were around in ancient times and may be again in the future.

Matthew 24:37-39 
But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
