For thousands of years people have been breeding better varieties of grain. However, using genetic engineering people can now create things God never intended. For example, new corn seed has genes that belong to bacteria. These genes work inside the corn stalk producing toxins. The idea is that it is not necessary  to spray pesticide because the plant produces its own poisons. This causes allergies and other health problems.

There are currently two types of genetically modified corn: the first one is BT corn, that has inside it bacteria toxin -- this is to prevent corn borers from eating it. The second type is "roundup ready corn" which is herbicide resistant -- this is so farmers can spray fields with the weed killer roundup. The weeds die, but the corn is resistant to the weed killer, so it survives.

However, not  all the weeds die. A few survive so the farmer must up the dosage of herbicide each year. This saves the farmer the work of weeding the fields, but he poisons the soil, the lakes, and the streams.

Monsanto has made a lot of money selling both roundup and GM corn. However there are many hazards to GM corn. For example, Monsanto's GM corn has been linked to organ failure. A scientific study concludes GM corn is toxic to mammals.

Other genetically modified foods cause problems. For example, rats feed GM soy had their offspring die. It appear the protein is malformed and is poisonous. Yet there are no laws preventing the sale of these products, and none of them are labeled. That means you may be eating it right now.

People need to write their congressmen. Food is not safe. Today all of canola, most of soy, and over 80% of corn is GM. The best thing is for you to grow your own food or buy organically grown.

God put a lot of effort into creating the world. God created each species with the ability to reproduce after its own kind.

Gen 1:11 And God said, "Let the earth put forth vegetation, plants yielding seed, and fruit trees bearing fruit in which is their seed, each according to its kind, upon the earth." And it was so.

Genetic engineering is like spraying graffiti over a beautiful painting. By cutting and pasting genes from bacteria into plants scientists are making a big mistake.

There is evidence that this gene tampering existed in the past. God had to get rid of many animals and plant species to correct the mess.

Gen 6:11 The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.

Gen 6:12 And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth.

Gen 6:13 And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.

The Bible says that all flesh was corrupt. God was forced to destroy animals as well as men. It is my understanding that much of this corruption was genetic tampering. We still have stories of centaurs that were half horse and half man. These are but distant dim memories of that time. In a not too distant future such monstrosities will once again be created.

God will have to destroy this evil creation, much like He did in the days of Noah.

Rev 11:18 And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou should give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and should destroy them which destroy the earth.
