Treasure

God is a father to us. He truly cares about what is going on now. Sadly, a lot of people are doing what is wrong. They will not go to the good place as we can see. Do hear what our Father in heaven tell us.

Matthew 6:19-21
Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

I know that a lot of preachers say that the treasure is allegorical, but that is not so. They claim that the treasure is love in your heart, but a thief cannot steal love. Moths cannot destroy love. God is talking about real treasure and people are trying to devalue what He says.

Christ offered the rich your man treasure in heaven, but he went away weeping.

Matthew 19:16-22
Now behold, one came and said to Him, “Good Teacher, what good thing shall I do that I may have eternal life?” So He said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God. But if you want to enter into life, keep the commandments.” He said to Him, “Which ones?” Jesus said, “‘You shall not murder,’ ‘You shall not commit adultery,’ ‘You shall not steal,’ ‘You shall not bear false witness,’ ‘Honor your father and your mother,’ and, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ ” The young man said to Him, “All these things I have kept from my youth. What do I still lack?” Jesus said to him, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.” But when the young man heard that saying, he went away weeping, for he had great possessions.

Christ said - you will have treasure in heaven. I do believe what He says. Sadly, many preachers want to tell you all God says is allegorical so you will continue on in sin. I don't have to tell you where they are going.

Heart

God wants people who have a heart and do care. Jesus gives us the parable of the good Samaritan to show us how we should act toward other persons.

How we treat others will determine how God will treat us. Our father looks at our actions not at our external appearance.

The parable of the Good Samaritan shows people how we should act toward those around us.

Jesus says:

Luke 10:25-37
On one occasion an expert in the law stood up to test Jesus. “Teacher,” he asked, “what must I do to inherit eternal life?” “What is written in the Law?” he replied. “How do you read it?” He answered, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’; and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’” “You have answered correctly,” Jesus replied. “Do this and you will live.” But he wanted to justify himself, so he asked Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?” In reply Jesus said: “A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, when he was attacked by robbers. They stripped him of his clothes, beat him and went away, leaving him half dead. A priest happened to be going down the same road, and when he saw the man, he passed by on the other side. So too, a Levite, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side. But a Samaritan, as he traveled, came where the man was; and when he saw him, he took pity on him. He went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he put the man on his own donkey, brought him to an inn and took care of him. The next day he took out two denarii and gave them to the innkeeper. ‘Look after him,’ he said, ‘and when I return, I will reimburse you for any extra expense you may have.’ “Which of these three do you think was a neighbor to the man who fell into the hands of robbers?” The expert in the law replied, “The one who had mercy on him.” Jesus told him, “Go and do likewise

Notice that Jesus ends with - go and do like wise. This is an important lesson that we need to do good actions and God will indeed reward us.

The bible says:

Mark 9:41
For truly, I say unto you, whoever gives you a cup of water to drink because you belong to Christ will by no means lose his reward.
