Bowls of Wrath
The consummation of the wrath of God is accomplished with the bowls of wrath. After the seventh trumpet, the Apostle John sees seven angels with the seven bowls of wrath that are about to be poured upon the earth.
Revelation 15:1
Then I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvelous, seven angels who had
seven plagues, which are the last, because in them the wrath of God is finished.
They are the last because after the wrath of God is finished, Yeshua our lord returns to this earth and the Millennium starts.
So let's look at what the bowls of wrath will be.
Revelation 16:1-2
Then I heard a loud voice from the temple, saying to the seven angels, "Go
and pour out on the earth the seven bowls of the wrath of God." So the first angel went and poured out his bowl on the earth; and it became a
loathsome and malignant sore on the people who had the mark of the beast and who
worshiped his image.
Notice that the malignant sore develops on the people who accepted the mark of the [leopard] beast -- the leader that will fight Yeshua and His saints in the Battle of Armageddon.
Revelation 16:3
The second angel poured out his bowl into the sea, and it became blood like
that of a dead man; and every living thing in the sea died.
All the life of the sea dies, so from then on there will be less oxygen for the life on land.
Revelation 16:4
Then the third angel poured out his bowl into the rivers and the springs of
waters; and they became blood.
Not only the sea life is affected, God is bringing plagues upon the land.
Revelation 16:5-6
And I heard the angel of the waters saying, "Righteous are You, who are and
who were, O Holy One, because You judged these things; for they poured out the blood of saints and prophets, and You have given them
blood to drink. They deserve it."
Remember that God had sent the two witnesses during the time of the 6th trumpet to preach repentance to the people on earth, but instead they killed the two witnesses and did not repent. God also sent His son Yeshua and they did not repent, but crucified Him.
Revelation 16:7
And I heard the altar saying, "Yes, O Lord God, the Almighty, true and
righteous are Your judgments."
Revelation 16:8
The fourth angel poured out his bowl upon the sun, and it was given to it to
scorch men with fire.
This next plague brings great heat from the sun, but men blaspheme the name of the Lord. God is trying to get the attention of all of those who have evicted Him from the places of learning, from the government offices, from all public places, and from each person's home. But as you can see, they do not give glory to God, they continue to do their evil deeds. God gives humans many chances, and they decide they do not want Him.
Revelation 16:9
Men were scorched with fierce heat; and they blasphemed the name of God who
has the power over these plagues, and they DID NOT REPENT
so as to give Him
glory.
We decided this background picture taken by John McColgan would be proper for you the reader to realize that God has allowed us humans to live lives contrary to God's purpose, and all we have reaped is pain, sorrow, and destruction. It is not too late for you... to repent and turn to God so your sins could be blotted out and your name could be inscribed in the book of life.
Revelation 16:10
Then the fifth angel poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast, and his
kingdom became darkened; and they gnawed their tongues because of pain,
The apostle John refers to the Scarlet Beast. God continues to punish that nation. He gives them sores and pain. Unfortunately they do not repent.
Revelation 16:11
and they blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their
sores; and they DID NOT REPENT of their deeds.
Revelation 16:12-16
The sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river, the Euphrates; and
its water was dried up, so that the way would be prepared for the kings from the
east. And I saw coming out of the mouth of the dragon and out of the mouth of the
[LEOPARD] beast and out of the mouth of the false prophet, three unclean spirits like
frogs; for they are spirits of demons, performing signs, which go out to the kings
of the whole world, to gather them together for the war of the great day of God,
the Almighty.
("Behold, I am coming like a thief. Blessed is the one who stays awake and
keeps his clothes, so that he will not walk about naked and men will not see his
shame.") And they gathered them together to the place which in Hebrew is called Har-Magedon.
Evil spirits will influence human leaders to coalesce their efforts against God and against Israel. Why do they all meet in Megiddo? At the time of the 6th Bowl of Wrath, the Leopard Beast along with the False Prophet will go to all other leaders of the world to convince them for the invasion of Israel and to fight the Battle of Armageddon against Yeshua the Messiah and His saints.
Revelation 16:17-19
Then the seventh angel poured out his bowl upon the air, and a loud voice
came out of the temple from the throne, saying, "It is done." And there were flashes of lightning and sounds and peals of thunder; and
there was a great earthquake, such as there had not been since man came to be
upon the earth, so great an earthquake was it, and so mighty. The great city was split into three parts, and the cities of the nations
fell. Babylon the great was remembered before God, to give her the cup of the
wine of His fierce wrath.
The great city refers to Jerusalem which will be devastated by a big earthquake, but this earthquake is global -- all cities are affected. God remembers Babylon and how it was destroyed.
Revelation 16:20-21
And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found. And huge hailstones, about one hundred pounds each, came down from heaven
upon men; and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail, because its
plague was extremely severe.
Stones of 100 lbs each are falling on the earth. This incoming shower of meteorites is extremely damaging. Nothing like this is remembered in the history of man. As a reference, a concrete block weighs about 40 lbs, so it is more than twice this weight. Notice again men blaspheming God, no repentance.
In chapter 17, the apostle John takes some time to explain the Scarlet Beast and the woman who rides it -- Babylon the Great.
It is in Chapter 19 where the sequence continues and we find out that the armies of the Leopard Beast and all other nations fight Yeshua and His armies in the Battle of Armageddon. After the Battle, Satan is chained for 1,000 years, the first resurrection takes place, and the Millennium starts.
May you take heed of Yeshua's words and repent.
Revelation 3:3
So remember
what you have received and heard; and keep it, and repent. Therefore if you do
not wake up, I will come upon you as a thief, and you will not know at what hour
I will come upon you.
