The Bulge in the Southern Wall

Temple MountA 35-foot-wide bulge has developed in the southern wall of the Temple Mount in Jerusalem.  Eilat Mazar, head of Israel's Public Committee for the Protection of the Antiquities on the Temple Mount said the wall has deteriorated beyond repair.

This "Temple Mount" is in the hands of moslem authorities (Wakf), but it is built on holy ground.  They consist of several mosques on top of the ruins of YHVH's temple.

God's first temple was constructed in the time of Solomon.  His  holy temple was destroyed by King Nebuchadnezzar in 586 BC. and was reconstructed again in the time of the prophet Nehemiah when the Jews returned from exile in Babylon.

This second temple, which was still standing in the time of Jesus, was destroyed by the Romans in 70 AD.  It is on top of the ruins of God's temple that the moslems built the Dome of the Rock in 688-691 AD.

Solomon's StablesNot only have the moslems built a mosque, an abomination on top of God's temple ruins, they have continued to destroy those ruins and build more mosques.  It is probably due to the destruction and digging in an underground region of the compound known as "Solomon's Stables," that the area has become unstable and the bulge in the ancient wall has developed.

Since September 2000, the Wakf does not allow Jews or Christians to visit the Temple Mount. Only moslems are allowed.

The moslems, which still control YHVH's temple grounds, underestimate the damage to the southern wall, probably because they do not want any outside interference in the "remodeling" of the site.

The Israelis have a different view.  They believe the wall may collapse very soon due to the excavations in the area of Solomon's Stables.

A New Temple?

The Third Temple will be rebuiltThe Temple of YHVH will be rebuilt.  God says:

Revelation 11:1
Then there was given me a measuring rod like a staff; and someone said, "Get up and measure the TEMPLE of God and the altar, and those who worship in it."

This revelation, given to the Apostle John, will come to pass after the rapture, at the time when the two witnesses will have the job of prophesying in the streets of Jerusalem.

God continues to say:

Revelation 11:2
Leave out the court which is outside the temple and do not measure it, for it has been given to the nations; and they will tread under foot the holy city for forty-two months.

Revelation 11:3
And I will grant authority to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy for twelve hundred and sixty days, clothed in sackcloth.

As we can see, the outside court will be given to "the gentile nations," an expression that means non-Jewish people.

Dome of the RockAt the present time, the reverse is true.  The moslems have control of the temple site and do not allow Jews to enter.  In the future it will be the reverse, the Jews will have access to YHVH's temple, and the moslems or gentiles will be outside, in the courtyard.

The time of the rebuilding of  God's Third Temple is not stated in the prophecy.  It could be now, in your lifetime, or it could be sometime in the future.   Some of  these mosques are supported by the arches that constitute the underground area of Solomon's Stables. The unwise demolishing of some of these structures is what is causing the bulge on the southern wall.  Any further instability to the area might bring all the structures to collapse.  Is this the beginning of the fulfillment of God's prophecy?  We'll have to wait and see.
