Recently
I have noticed several power point presentations used in inspirational
messages which state "we should love unconditionally," or that
"God wants us to love other people unconditionally."
There is nothing in the bible that tells us to love others
unconditionally. That would mean we should keep loving our friends even if
they lie to us, or steal from us, or commit adultery with our
wives/husbands, or abuse us physically or verbally... I hope you get the
picture. But this reasoning is false. We as human beings will not
"love" somebody capable of continuing in this type of behavior,
someone who does not apologize, but continues to inflict harm on us. Not
only are we unable to love unrepentant sinners, but God himself hates
sinners.
Some Christians say hate the sin, but love
the sinner. That is not what God says. In fact, God hates the unrighteous.
Psalm 11:5-7
“The Lord trieth the righteous: but THE WICKED AND HIM THAT
LOVETH VIOLENCE HIS SOUL HATETH. Upon the wicked He shall rain snares,
fire and brimstone, and an horrible tempest: this shall be the portion of
their cup. For the righteous Lord loveth righteousness...”
If God Himself hates sinners, how then
are we to do something that not even God is capable of doing --loving
unconditionally? Do not be deceived, God loves righteousness, and
He loves the righteous.
God cannot love you unconditionally. In fact, you
must meet the conditions He sets for you, otherwise He will reject you.
John 9:31
We know that God does not listen to sinners, but if anyone is a worshiper of God AND DOES HIS WILL, God listens to him.
Psalm 2:4-9:
“The Lord that sits in the heavens shall LAUGH [at rebellious men]: the
Lord shall have them in derision. Then shall He speak unto them in His WRATH,
and VEX THEM IN HIS SORE DISPLEASURE... [and Christ shall] break them
with a rod of iron: Thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter’s
vessel.”
The Devil tells you that God is love,
and that God loves everyone. Feel good Christianity is a clever counterfeit of
the real item, in which false preachers tell their congregations what they want to hear.
These wolves in sheep's clothing don't even care about the message they
deliver every week; what they want is to live
lives of luxury in this world, while they promise you bliss in the next
one. These false ideas come from Satan. He is a liar from the beginning and the father
of the lie.
John 8:44
You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your
father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to
the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his
native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.
The
Devil lies when he tells you to love others unconditionally. Almighty
God is very specific in warning us not to throw our pearls to swine --
loving other unconditionally -- and He wants us to be aware of
those that do not belong in His fold. God makes vessels of clay for
destruction; He is knows that not everyone is going to be saved.
God hated Esau before he was even born.
Already, our Lord knew that Esau was a bad seed. I am sure that there were
a lot of innocent babies in Sodom and Gomorrah when God rained down fire
on those cities of sin, but God does not protect the children of sinners.
Look at what God did to Sodom if you
want to see what He does to those that sin. People say that God loves
gays. However, the evidence is that the Almighty deals
with sinners. Look at Noah's flood to see what the future reserves for us
if we continue to live in sin.
MATT 25:37-39
"When
the Son of Man returns, it will be like it was in Noah's day. For in
the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying
and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; People
didn't realize what was going to happen until the flood came and swept
them all away. That is the way it will be when the Son of Man comes.
There are more bible quotes about all
the punishment He will give to sinners, than promises for saints.
MATT 10:28
Don't
be afraid of those who want to kill your body; they cannot touch your
soul. Fear only God, who can destroy both soul and body in hell.
This lie of God loving sinners is
responsible for many Christians not fearing Almighty God and not obeying His
commandments.
Often,
those who do not believe in God try to ridicule Christian thought as
narrow. What we see in our society is the idea that there is no such
thing as sin, that we need to embrace ALL of this world ideas, not to
judge anybody, but to love everybody... UNCONDITIONALLY!
Who is behind this mode of thinking? It
is Satan, the prince of power in air. Notice that he controls the air
waves. Frankly, he controls radio broadcasting to send out filthy
music. Also, he controls television to send out filthy movies. Every
single day his evil minions send out over the air waves a river of sewage, and we are drowning in that river.
People no longer
fear the consequences of sin, but God says there are very grave consequences. Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

What
does Christ say?
MATT 7:21-23
"Not
everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of
heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in
heaven. Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not
prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your
name perform many miracles?' But I will reply, 'I never knew you. Get
away from me, you who break God's laws.'
Here is what God says:
Revelation 14:10-11
“[Sinners]
shall drink of the wine of the WRATH OF GOD, which is poured without
mixture into the cup of HIS INDIGNATION; and he shall be TORMENTED WITH
FIRE AND BRIMSTONE IN THE PRESENCE OF THE HOLY ANGELS, AND IN THE
PRESENCE OF THE LAMB; And the smoke of their TORMENT ascendeth up for
ever and ever; and they have NO REST DAY NOR NIGHT...”
Do not be deceived by Satan into
thinking you can act without consequences. God gives you the ability to
choose between two path -- light or darkness, but that does not mean that He
either approves or loves
sinners.
Leviticus 20:23:
“And ye shall not walk in the manners of the nations which I cast out
before you: for they committed all these things, and therefore I
ABHORRED THEM.”
God warned the nation of Israel not to go in the
way of the heathen.
Leviticus 26:14-30:
“If ye will not hearken unto Me, and will not do all these
commandments; And if ye shall despise My statutes, or if your soul
abhor My judgments, so that ye will not do all My commandments, but
that ye break My covenant, I also will do this to you... [send plagues,
famine, drought, destructive armies, wild beasts who shall devour your
children, pestilence, captivity in a cruel land...] And if ye will not
for all this hearken unto Me, but walk contrary to Me; Then I WILL WALK
CONTRARY TO YOU IN FURY... I will destroy your high places, and cut
down your images, and cast your carcasses upon the carcasses of your
idols, and MY SOUL SHALL ABHOR YOU.”
Deuteronomy 18:12
“For all that do these things are an ABOMINATION TO THE LORD, and
because of these abominations the Lord thy God doth drive them out from
before thee.”
Deuteronomy 25:16: “...ALL THAT DO UNRIGHTEOUSLY ARE AN ABOMINATION UNTO THE LORD.”
Deuteronomy 32:16-20:
“They provoked Him to jealousy with strange gods, with abominations
they provoked Him to ANGER... And when the Lord saw it [people
sacrificing to devils - v.17], HE ABHORRED THEM...”
Psalm 5:5-6:
“The foolish shall not stand in Thy sight: THOU HATEST ALL WORKERS OF
INIQUITY. Thou shalt destroy them that speak leasing (lies): THE LORD
WILL ABHOR THE BLOODY AND DECEITFUL MAN.”
There are many verses in the Bible that show that
God hates the workers of iniquity (sinners.)
Psalm 7:11-13: “...God
is ANGRY with the wicked every day. If he turn not, He will whet His
sword; He hath bent His bow, and made it ready. He hath also prepared
for him the instruments of death; He ordaineth His arrows against the
persecutors.”
Psalm 10:3: “For the wicked... blesseth the covetous, WHOM THE LORD
ABHORRETH.”
Psalm 50:22: “Now consider this, ye that forget God, LEST I TEAR YOU IN PIECES, AND THERE BE NONE TO DELIVER.”
Proverbs 3:32-33:
“For the froward is an ABOMINATION TO THE LORD... The CURSE OF THE LORD
is in the house of the wicked: but He blesseth the habitation of the
just.”
Proverbs 6:16-19:
“These six things doth THE LORD HATE: yea, seven are AN ABOMINATION TO
HIM... A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord
among the brethren.”
Proverbs 16:5: “Every one that is proud in heart is an ABOMINATION TO THE LORD: though hand join in hand, he shall not be unpunished.”
Proverbs 17:5: “He that justifieth the wicked, and he that condemneth the just, even they both are ABOMINATION TO THE LORD.”
Proverbs 22:14: “The soul of strange women is a deep pit: HE THAT IS ABHORRED OF THE LORD shall fall therein.”
Hosea 9:15:
“All their wickedness is in Gilgal: for there I HATED THEM: for the
wickedness of their doings I will drive them out of Mine house, I WILL
LOVE THEM NO MORE...”
Malachi 1:3-4:
“And I HATED ESAU, and laid his mountains and his heritage waste for
the dragons of the wilderness...thus saith the Lord of hosts, They
shall build, but I will throw down; and they shall call them, The
border of wickedness, and the people AGAINST WHOM THE LORD HATH
INDIGNATION FOREVER.”
Romans 9:13: “As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but ESAU HAVE I HATED.”
I Corinthians 16:22: “If any man love not the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be ANATHEMA MARANATHA [which means ACCURSED, THE LORD COMETH].”
James 4:4:
“Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that friendship of the
world is ENMITY (or HATRED) WITH GOD? whosoever therefore will be a
friend of the world is an ENEMY OF GOD.”
I Peter 3:12:
“For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and His ears are open
to their prayers: but THE FACE OF THE LORD IS AGAINST THEM THAT DO
EVIL.”
May all the scriptures we list lead you to realize God does NOT love sinners; He does NOT listen to sinners, and
He promises the righteous that He will bring His justice upon the sinners. For
those of us who trust in the Lord, He expects us to live a holy life.
1 Peter 1:15-16
But just as He who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy."
