Tricks?

Fellows, our problems are not too many guns or crimes. Also, it is not global warming. Sadly, we have turned away from God and He does not occupy our hearts, but instead we chase after money.

OK, so what does that even mean? Hey, I went into the local grocery. There was a sale on cheese and it was $3.39 instead of the usual $4.49 so I bought some. When I got to the cash register, I found out that the sale was over. Brothers and sisters, this was a scam. Definitely they know that most people will not mind paying a dollar more. Still, I was angry. This is why people are shopping online instead of going into a retail store as they are tired of all the tricks and games.

Sadly, the people in the grocery store like to wrap food up in plastic wrap now. Often, some of the fruits and vegetable are rotten inside the wrap - more than one.

Before, theses items were loose and I could pick out the good ones.

What we think is what we are. Thought is but a mirror of a man.

World of Tomorrow

Back in the 50's teachers often said that by the year 2000 we would have flying cars as well as men on mars. Well, the year 2020 is almost upon us. I look up into our air. What is our view? Funny, there are no flying cars. Also, we see no men on mars. Technology is short on delivery and long on promise.

Where is that miracle cancer cure? Yeah, there is none. In fact, we are seeing that technology often can cause issues. It solves very few if any.

 All this on going talk is about progress. Well, there is a lot in one area. I have seen lap top computers become more powerful with enormous amounts of memory. Let me add that they are now far less expensive. Oh yes, we do see that some things are improving. However, at what cost? Most of the malls will probably close soon. Yeah, we can blame the mighty internet as customers shop online now.

Expect to see technology march on. It might quicken its pace even. However, the day to day problems we currently have it cannot solve for us. God is our answer.
