are going to be several raptures in the future, as there have been several raptures in the past. Look at the file
In the old testament we read
that God took Enoch and Elijah.
Then in the new testament, we read
of Paul's friend -- all of these raptures having taken place at different times.
In a similar way, there are
going to be several raptures in the future.
The bible tells us about this. Let us look at some
of the scriptures.
The first one we will discuss is the great multitude that the apostle
John describes in the book of Revelation:
Revelation 7:13-17 Then one of the elders addressed me: “These in white robes,” he asked, “who are they, and
where have they come from?” “Sir, I answered, “you know.” So he replied, “These are the ones who
are coming out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
For this reason, They are before the throne of God and serve Him day and night in His temple;
and he that sits on the throne shall dwell among them. Never again will they hunger, and never will they
thirst; nor will the sun beat upon them, nor any scorching heat. For the Lamb in the center of the throne will be their shepherd.
He will lead them to fountains of living water, and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.
This group of people will be rescued
from our earth and taken to a better place -- Paradise.
But the way they are taken is the same way Enoch and Elijah were taken
-- flesh and blood human beings.
In this place people are never hungry or thirsty,
they do not suffer, they are always happy.
Another "rapture" is when
the 144,000 are taken out of this earth.
Revelation 14:3-5 And they sang a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and the elders. And no one could learn the song except the
one hundred forty-four thousand who had been redeemed from the earth. 4These are the ones who have not been defiled with women, for they are virgins. They follow the Lamb wherever He goes. They have been redeemed from among men as firstfruits to God and to the Lamb.
And no lie was found in their mouths; they are blameless.
7Now when they [the 2 witnesses] have finished their testimony, the beast that comes up from the Abyss will attack them, and overpower and kill them. 8 Their bodies will lie in the public square of the great city—which is figuratively called Sodom and Egypt—where also their Lord was crucified. 9 For three and a half days some from every people, tribe, language and nation will gaze on their bodies and refuse them burial. 10 The inhabitants of the earth will gloat over them and will celebrate by sending each other gifts, because these two prophets had tormented those who live on the earth.
11 But after the three and a half days the breath of life from God entered them, and they stood on their feet, and terror struck those who saw them. 12 Then they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, “Come up here.” And they went up to heaven in a cloud, while their enemies looked on.
This example of a future rapture occurs to the 2 witnesses who will be killed by the government of “the scarlet beast.”
They go up to heaven (in flesh and blood form) after having come to life.
Another example of a future rapture is also listed in the book of revelation.
2And I saw like a sea of glass mingled with fire, and those conquering over the beast, and the image of it, and over the number of its name, standing upon the sea of glass, having harps of God.
3and they are singing the song of God’s servant Moses and the song of the Lamb.
This is one of the last examples of raptures described in the book of Revelation. Notice that
this group of people is NOT on this earth.
They are standing upon what looks like a sea of glass mixed with fire... or a glowing glass expanse. Here these people are singing praises to our Lord because they have been saved from the government of the
leopard beast -- the last world government.
May these verses from the bible give
you hope that Paradise is the place where you could go, a better place,
a better world for you... now.... to live and enjoy life forever.
Did Jesus Talk
about the Rapture?
those born of women…. Luke 7:28 For I say to you, among those born of women there is not a
greater prophet than John the Baptist; but he who is least in the
kingdom of God is greater than he.”
What did Jesus mean?
He is comparing the born of women on earth -- and the best is John the
Baptist, with the born of women in kingdom of God/Paradise – and
anybody there is better than John.
I used to believe the ones in the kingdom of God were the angels… but
you see, I had not studied the bible much at the time, neither did I
know what constitutes a good comparison.
Now I realize that Jesus is a King in the Kingdom of God; that His subjects are human beings who cannot easily come from heaven back to earth; that those subjects, if they could, would fight for Him and not have allowed Him to be crucified (unlike Peter.)
The night before His death, Jesus had this conversation with the apostles:
36 Simon Peter said to Him, “Lord, where are
You going?” Jesus answered him, “Where I am going you cannot follow
Me now, but you shall follow Me afterward.”
37 Peter said to Him, “Lord, why can I not follow You now? I will
lay down my life for Your sake.”
38 Jesus answered him, “Will you lay down your life for My sake?
Most assuredly, I say to you, the rooster shall not crow till you have
denied Me three times.
John 14: 1Let not your heart be troubled; you believe
in God, believe also in Me. 2 In My Father’s house are many
mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a
place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will
come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be
also. 4 And where I go you know, and the way you know.
Jesus told his disciples that we could
follow Him to the place where He was going. This is about going to Paradise, the place where Jesus is King -- the third heaven/Paradise
where Paul’s friend went.
Look at the words of Peter about this:
2 Peter 3:13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth,
where righteousness dwells.
Peter knew that the promise was the
new heavens and the new earth. This we obtain when Jesus takes us
there. We do NOT go there when we die, otherwise let us die right
now if that was the way!
Jesus told Pilate that His kingdom
was not of this world.
Jesus answered, "My Kingdom is not an earthly kingdom. If it were, my followers would fight to keep me from being handed over to the Jewish leaders. But my Kingdom is not of this world."
He stated that if it were, His
subjects would fight for Him, He is showing all of us that He has
subjects (citizens of Paradise) and that those servants would fight for
Jesus if they could.
For those who say that the saints are
the angels, look at this verse from the bible:
Matthew 26:53 Do you think I cannot call on my Father, and he will at once put at my disposal more than twelve legions of angels?
A Roman Legion is 5,200 soldiers, so
Jesus was talking of 62,400 soldiers at His disposal.
This bible verse shows us that
angels can come immediately from heaven to earth, as they are spirit
beings. The people who live in the kingdom of heaven are flesh and
blood, and they cannot come immediately from there to planet Earth...
but they will be coming for the Battle of Armageddon.
The word of God states that Jesus is coming back to this earth with His
1 Thessalonians 3:13 so that He may establish your hearts blameless in holiness before our God and Father at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all
And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh among
thousands of his saints.
Zechariah 14: 4-5
…4In that day His feet will stand on the Mount of
Olives, which is in front of Jerusalem on the east; and the Mount of
Olives will be split in its middle from east to west by a very large
valley, so that half of the mountain will move toward the north and the
other half toward the south. 5You will flee by the valley of My
mountains, for the valley of the mountains will reach to Azel; yes, you
will flee just as you fled before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah
king of Judah. Then the LORD, my God, will come, and
all the holy ones with Him!
Jesus Christ did tell His apostles that
they could go where He was going. That is what will happen in the
Rapture. Then we will come back to fight at the Battle of
Armageddon, and we will always be with our Lord Jesus.
