Resurrection

God says that in the resurrection, we will be like the angels in heaven.

Christ tells us:

Matthew 22:23-30
That same day the Sadducees, who say there is no resurrection, came to Jesus and questioned Him. “Teacher,” they said, “Moses declared that if a man dies without having children, his brother is to marry the widow and raise up offspring for him. Now there were seven brothers among us. The first one married and died without having children. So he left his wife to his brother. The same thing happened to the second and third brothers, down to the seventh. And last of all, the woman died. In the resurrection, then, whose wife will she be of the seven? For all of them were married to her.” Jesus replied, “You are mistaken because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God. In the resurrection, people will neither marry nor be given in marriage. Instead, they will be like the angels in heaven.

Jesus knows that when we are spirit beings, we do not marry. He explains the concept in the Gospel of Luke so we can understand it more.

Luke 20:34-36
Jesus answered, “The sons of this age marry and are given in marriage. But those who are considered worthy to share in the age to come and in the resurrection from the dead will neither marry nor be given in marriage. In fact, they can no longer die, because they are like the angels. And since they are sons of the resurrection, they are sons of God.

Please realize that the people in paradise are flesh and blood human beings who can also live forever if they eat the fruit of the tree of life.

Revelation 2:7
He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who is overcoming, I will grant to eat of the tree of life, which is in the Paradise of God.

Unlike spirit beings, these fleshy immortals who eat from the fruit of tree of life can marry. They have children and live long lives like the trees which can live thousands of years.

Isaiah 65:22
No longer will they build houses and others live in them, or plant and others eat. For as the days of a tree, so will be the days of my people; my chosen ones will long enjoy the work of their hands.

Unlike spirit beings, the people in Paradise have children and they do work with their hands.

Isaiah 65:23
They will not labor in vain, nor will they bear children doomed to misfortune; for they will be a people blessed by the Lord, they and their descendants with them.

However, the laws of physics are still in effect so they can suffer cuts or bruises.

The leaves of the tree of life can be used for healing purposes. God says that the tree of life grows next to a river.

Revelation 22:1-3
Then the angel showed me a river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb, down the middle of the main street of the city. On either side of the river stood a tree of life, producing twelve kinds of fruit and yielding a fresh crop for each month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations.

Here is my message to you. We do not have to die, because God can take us to Paradise where we can eat of the fruit of the tree of life and live forever.

If we were to fall off a cliff and die in Paradise, God can resurrect us back to life in physical form. Christ brought Lazarus back to life as a flesh and blood person.

John 11:40-44
Jesus said to her, “Didn’t I tell you that if you believed, you would see God’s glory?” So they took away the stone from the place where the dead man was lying. Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, “Father, I thank you that you listened to me. I know that you always listen to me, but because of the multitude that stands around I said this, that they may believe that you sent me.” When he had said this, he cried with a loud voice, “Lazarus, come out!” He who was dead came out, bound hand and foot with wrappings, and his face was wrapped around with a cloth. Jesus said to them, “Free him, and let him go.”

Notice that Lazarus did not live forever, and this is because he did not eat of the tree of life so he did experience aging.

However, if God brings back a person who has eaten of the tree of life, that person never ages.

All of us carry Adam's curse. However, if we eat of the tree of life, we are able to reverse our aging process. Then we can life forever in physical form.

God tell us.

Genesis 3:22-24
Then the LORD God said, "Behold, the man has become like one of Us, knowing good and evil; and now, he might stretch out his hand, and take also from the tree of life, and eat, and live forever "-- therefore the LORD God sent him out from the garden of Eden, to cultivate the ground from which he was taken. So He drove the man out; and at the east of the garden of Eden He stationed the cherubim and the flaming sword which turned every direction to guard the way to the tree of life.

God took Enoch to Paradise where there is a tree of life for those who overcome. Enoch did not die, but lives even now. This is because he ate of the tree of life and does not age.

Hebrews 11:5
By faith Enoch was translated -- not to see death, and was not found, because God did translate him; for before his translation he had been testified to -- that he had pleased God well,

Christ says that if we keep his word we do not have to die, but we can life forever and not taste death.

John 8:51-53
Truly, truly, I tell you, if anyone keeps My word, he will never see death.” “Now we know that You have a demon! declared the Jews. “Abraham died, and so did the prophets, yet You say that anyone who keeps Your word will never taste’ death. Are You greater than our father Abraham? He died, as did the prophets. Who do You claim to be?”

John 13

33Little children, I am with you only a little while longer. You will look for Me, and as I said to the Jews, so now I say to you: ‘Where I am going, you cannot come.’

34A new commandment I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so also you must love one another. 35By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you love one another.”

36“Lord, where are You going?” Simon Peter asked.

Jesus answered, “Where I am going, you cannot follow Me now, but you will follow later.”

37“Lord,” Peter asked, “Why can’t I follow You now? I will lay down my life for You.”

38“Will you lay down your life for Me?” Jesus replied. “Truly, truly, I tell you, before the rooster crows, you will deny Me three times.

Christ says that he has other sheep and that we will all become one. These sheep are Enoch's children who live in Paradise - I want all of us to be together as one. Let us pray that day is soon.

John 10:15-17
just as the Father knows Me and I know the Father. And I lay down My life for the sheep. I have other sheep that are not of this fold. I must bring them in as well, and they will listen to My voice. Then there will be one flock and one shepherd.

Where Is Your Heart?

There are people who believe that their work is of vital importance and that is where their heart is. I remember back in 2001 we got a new employee at my company. He was a young Puerto Rican guy who used to work in New York City inside the twin towers, and on September 11, 2001 he heard a horrible loud noise.

A jet had crashed into the tower next to his, and that building was on fire. He told his boss that he was leaving, and the boss said no. Well, the young man had to make a life or death decision. He said. "I am leaving right now." The boss said. "If you leave, I will fire you." He said. "I'm leaving, so go ahead and fire me." The boss kept right on typing on the keyboard of his computer while the young Puerto Rican guy left the building. After he had left, a second jet hit the tower he worked in. Basically, his boss did not survive.

Life is full of decisions, and the young Puerto Rican guy told me that he was scared when the first plane hit, and he did not want to stay. The result was that he is still with us.

The boss had an important position that he did not wish to lose and did not realize that he would soon be gone. Even though the burning fire next to him was an ominous sign, the possibility of finding himself with no job the next day made him decide wrongly. Learn the lesson, as we do not know when our last day is.

Luke 12

15 And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consists not in the abundance of the things which he possesses.

16 And he spoke a parable unto them, saying, The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully:

17 And he thought within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have no room where to bestow my fruits?

18 And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods.

19 And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years;
take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry.

20 But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?
21 So is he that lays up treasure for himself, and is
not rich toward God.

God tells us that we should not store up treasure on earth, or be too attached to material things. It is not wrong to have material things things, but that is not our purpose.

People have been deceived into believing that having other people doing work for them is better, that living a life of leisure -- playing video games, watching TV, doing drugs, and getting drunk -- will make them happy.

It could cloud our judgments, make us unhappy, and at the end causes us to lose our lives earlier. God set us on this Earth for a reason, to make it better and everybody on it too.

Our purpose on this earth is to work. To live a life of idleness having other people do everything for us is a sure way to make us ill and shorten our longevity.

Genesis 2:15
The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it.

In Paradise we shall enjoy the fruits of our labor, and rejoice in the company of people who love one another. That is our treasure and where our heart will be.
