Paradise

Thomas Kincaide had visions of paradise, and it enabled him to paint this representation of what he saw.

God has created a new heaven and a new earth for us. The place is a paradise in which people could live happily forever. Let us read what our Lord says about Paradise.

Isaiah 65
17 “See, I will create
new heavens and a new earth.
The former things will not be remembered,
nor will they come to mind.
18 But be glad and rejoice forever
in what I will create,

for I will create Jerusalem [city of peace] to be a delight
and its people a joy.
19 I will rejoice over Jerusalem [city of peace]
and take delight in my people;
the sound of weeping and of crying
will be heard in it no more.

20 “Never again will there be in it
an infant who lives but a few days,
or an old man who does not live out his years;
the one who dies at a hundred
will be thought a mere child;
the one who fails to reach a hundred
will be considered accursed.
21 They will build houses and dwell in them;
they will plant vineyards and eat their fruit.
22 No longer will they build houses and others live in them,
or plant and others eat.
For as the days of a tree,
so will be the days of my people;
MY CHOSEN ONES will wear out the work of their hands.
23 They will not labor in vain,
nor will they bear children doomed to misfortune;
for they will be a people blessed by the Lord,
they and their descendants with them.
24 Before they call I will answer;
while they are still speaking I will hear.
25 The wolf and the lamb will eat grass together,
and the lion will eat straw like the ox,
and dust will be the serpent’s food.
They will neither harm nor destroy
on all my holy mountain,”
says the Lord.

Let us ponder on what these words mean.

What Is It Like?

The bible mentions Paradise in the new testament as a wonderful place for people who overcome sin.

Revelation 2:7
The one having an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one overcoming, I will give him to eat of the tree of life, which is in the
PARADISE of God.

When He was on the cross, Jesus Christ told one of the thieves:

Luke 23:43
Jesus said to him, Amen, I say to you today, with me you will be in the Paradise [of God.]

What does that mean?

1 Corinthians 15:3-4
"For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the scriptures."

Notice that Jesus was in the tomb three days and three nights, therefore He was not in Paradise the day He was crucified. Jesus went to paradise after His resurrection. In the same way, the thief will be able to go to paradise after his resurrection.

Certainly, we know that Paradise is Christ’s kingdom and that He is King Melchizedek. Remember that He said, “Before Abraham was, I am.”

John 18:37
Pilate therefore said to him, "Are you a king then?" Jesus answered, "You say that a king am I, for this I have been born, and for this I have come into the world, that I might bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth listens to my voice."

Paradise is where Enoch, Elijah, and their children are. God has created a place filled with people who obey Him, and Christ is the ruler of this kingdom. Melchizedek means prince of peace. That is what Christ is. Paradise has no wars; there is no crime.

Isaiah 65:19
I will rejoice over Jerusalem and take delight in my people; the sound of weeping and of crying will be heard in it no more.

People on Earth live in fear. They fear being harmed in their own house with a home invasion; they fear going to a gas station; they fear going to a movie cinema; they fear going to a restaurant, and the list goes on.

However, in Paradise, people have no fears. This is because the animals do not attack each other; they eat grass; plants have no thorns or poison. All the villagers live in safety and peace because they love one another.

Isaiah 65:25
"The wolf and the lamb will graze together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox; and dust will be the serpent's food. They will do no evil or harm in all My holy mountain," says the LORD.

Instead of being crowded together and renting tiny little apartments, citizens of paradise live in their own houses and have fields to plant crops.

Isaiah 65:21
They will build houses and inhabit them; They will also plant vineyards and EAT their fruit.

Isaiah 65:22
They will not build and another inhabit, They will not plant and another eat; for as the lifetime of a tree, so will be the days of My people, and MY CHOSEN ONES will wear out the work of their hands.

Paradise is the place that God has prepared for His people when He takes them in the rapture. In this place, there is no fear, no diseases, no hunger, no inclement weather. In Paradise, there are beautiful gardens that grow food that is healthy. There are no chemicals, no pesticides, no drugs of any type. People do not need any pills that promote health -- they are always healthy. There is song and happiness. People are full of energy and look like teenagers. They have no wrinkles, no scars, no injuries. I hope you will want to be there; it was promised to the thief on the cross; would you like to go?
