What are ag gag laws anyway? Well, ag is agriculture, and gag means to suppress. There is a new law in Idaho passed in 2014 that makes it a criminal offense to film animals on a farm without the owner's permission. In fact, the ag gag penalty is up to one year in prison.

Sadly, our government is criminalizing the gathering of information about what goes on in a farm. Here is the reason. Films of cows being mistreated were placed on Youtube. Instead of our government trying to fix the situation, they are making it illegal to film what goes on in farms, slaughter houses, and meat packing plants.

This is the path we are going on. Basically, exposing animal cruelty is a crime now. Customers need to know what is occurring. Downer cows, too weak to move due to disease, are being sold to slaughterhouses as good beef, and you are the unsuspecting consumer. Pink slime, made of meat scraps, is full of bacteria and is used to make ground beef. Pink Slime is part of a $1.2 billion lawsuit by Beef Products Inc (BPI) against ABC news when in 2012 ABC reported on pink slime being used in ground beef. BPI alleges that they lost money when the sales of ground beef declined. 

Pathogens in meat are a major concern. In 2014 we had one of largest meat recalls in history due to E. coli. Federal government refuses to tell us which restaurants served tainted meat.

Recalls due to Mad Cow Disease are the norm every year. But in spite of all this, US Government is on the side of large agricultural companies. They simply do not care. Here is a list of states with ag gag laws.  

Farmers do not support suppression. Consumers want to be informed. However, there is a push by big companies for more ag gag. These companies do not want the public to see the horrible conditions and filthy squalor the animals are forced to live in. Why is this so? Executives see numbers on a piece of paper. Most execs never go near a farm. All they want is to cut expenses. That way, their stock goes up. Most companies only care about increasing profits, and they have no concerns on what garbage they give you.

Any video of animal cruelty will be illegal soon. Instead of solving our problem, our government makes it illegal to talk about it. This is how our rulers deal with issues.

To make matters worse, lobbyists from major agricultural firms use campaign contributions as a form of bribery to get their favorite laws to pass. This is the reason why it is illegal to "talk" about what is going on with the food supply.

What can you do to protect yourself? Do not buy sausages or any other processed food. Stay away from ground meat or cuts that could contain brain or spinal cord. That way you can avoid or minimize your exposure to deadly pathogens.

Big business wants to hide their evil actions, but God sees their works. He says:

Matthew 10:26-27  ... for there is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, or hidden that will not be made known.²⁷ What I tell you in the dark, speak in the daylight; what is whispered in your ear, proclaim from the roofs.  

For every good deed, there is a reward, even giving someone a cup of water. Likewise, for every evil deed there is a punishment.   

Matthew 10:42  And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward.  

Isaiah 3:10-11 Say to the righteous that it shall be well with them, For they shall eat the fruit of their doings. Woe to the wicked! It shall be ill with him,
For the reward of his hands shall be given him.

Actions speak louder than words.  Therefore, let us have our actions speak for us.  

Matthew 16:27 For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works 

Rev 22:12  And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work.

James 2:18 But someone will say, "You have faith and I have works." Show me your faith without works and I will show you faith by my works.  

James 2:26 For just as the body without the spirit is dead, so also faith without works is dead.  

The actions of people speak volumes to me. In fact, they tell me who they are. Evil people will continue to do evil deeds; let us continue to have good works as the coming of our Lord approaches.
