Deep in outer space are objects that could erase all life on earth. So far we have been lucky, but Asteroid Apophis reminds us that our luck may run out.

Take a look at the video from NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory where researchers discuss Asteroid Apophis.

Well, Russia plans to stop Asteroid Apophis. They intend to send a rocket to bump it off course. Anatoly Perminov said to Russian radio station Golos Rossii: "People's lives are at stake. We should pay several hundred million dollars and build a system that would allow us to prevent a collision, rather than sit and wait for it to happen and kill hundreds of thousands of people."

If we read the Bible, we know that celestial objects will hit the earth in the future.

God warns us of future impacts of celestial objects. They cause widespread devastation.

Rev 8:8
And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood;

Rev 8:9
And the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed.

I believe that this refers to a mountain like Cumbre Vieja falling into the sea that will cause a giant tsunami -- probably affecting the Atlantic ocean. Then the entire east coast of the US could be destroyed with low lying cities like Miami seeing water go miles inland. This is worse than the Solomon Islands Tsunami that left hundreds homeless.

And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters;

Rev 8:11
And the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter.

This sounds like an asteroid similar to Apophis or a comet. It falls on some great rivers. The water is made bitter due to some substance in the comet. These events will happen before Jesus returns to earth. Be alert, the time is closer than you think.
