Pews

Hey, I have noticed that few people go to church now. There are a lot of empty pews. The few that go... mostly they are old, few are young. Ladies and gentlemen, we see Christianity is dying away. Frankly, this should not surprise us. The Holy Bible says:

2 Thessalonians 2:1-3
Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask you, not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ had come. Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the FALLING AWAY comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition,

Oh yes, dark days are ahead of us. The forces of darkness are strong now. Please do not worry any. Jesus Christ is preparing a much better place for us.

John 14:1-3
Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also.

Jesus is telling us not to worry. He is taking us to a place much better than this one. It is a place that He is creating for us.

Humble

Well, we do know that God hates pride, but He does help those people who are humble, so let us try to become more humble every day of the new year.

1 Peter 5:6
Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you,

Here is what God YHVH says:

Psalm 25:8-9
Good and upright is the Lord; therefore he instructs sinners in the way. He leads the humble in what is right, and teaches the humble his way.

There are some entities that are not humble, for example, the greatest deceiver is also known as the most proud one.

I believe that this phrase does refer to the fallen angel known as Lucifer whose pride destroyed him and who is without a doubt the greatest deceiver ever. Pride will blind us to our faults, many as they are.

People who are quite humble do not feel that they are in any way superior to another person. For example, they do indeed listen to those who have  opposing views. Do remember that the Pharisees thought they were going to enter God's kingdom, but Jesus Christ told them:

Matthew 21:31
Which one of the sons obeyed his father? “The older one,” the chief priests and leaders answered. Then Jesus told them: You can be sure tax collectors and prostitutes will get into the kingdom of God before you ever will!
