Identity of the Leopard Beast

As the time approaches for the events prophesied in the Bible to be fulfilled, we must diligently look into the scriptures to be able to obtain the identity of the Leopard Beast -- an evil ruler who will come about in the very near future. This beast is an arrogant person with the audacity to speak great blasphemies.

Revelation 13:5-6 And there was given it a mouth speaking great blasphemies, and there was given it authority to act forty-two months. And it opened its mouth in BLASPHEMY AGAINST GOD, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and those that dwell in heaven. 

Therefore either this person is not behaving as a Christian, or outright, is NOT A CHRISTIAN. If we study the bible carefully, we could identify this person... even before he or she takes power... because the Leopard Beast is identified by a number that we are supposed to count. Revelation 13:18 Here is wisdom. Let him that has understanding calculate the total number of the beast: for it is the NUMBER OF A MAN; and its number is six hundred and sixty six.

The word used in the bible to mean man is the Greek word ANTHROPON, and it can refer to a man or a woman.  Christ tells his apostles that He will make them fishers of men.  Matthew 4:19 And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men. This refers to both men and women.

Leopard Beast or Antichrist

The person referred to as the Leopard Beast or Antichrist will be revealed before "the day of the Lord" comes. This expression "Day of the Lord" or "Wrath of God" is an event that will happen before the return of Jesus to establish the kingdom of God on this earth. Please see our file The Wrath of God. In the book of 2 Thessalonians, the apostle Paul warns us that this Antichrist will not come unless the apostasy is initiated.

Certain bible verses have the word apostasy translated as rebellion; this is because the original Greek word "apostasia" is made up of two parts: "apo" and "stasia." Apo means "against" and stasia means "stasis" (staying, not moving), therefore apostasia is a situation of rebellion to the status quo, a change. The change seems to be a degradation of moral values and civic laws. In the last 50 years the change has been enormous. Abortion is legal; homosexual marriage is legal; to express that God will send to hell people who do these things is considered a hate crime.


Judas Iscariot
The son of perdition		 2 Thessalonians 2:1-4 Concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered to him, we ask you, brothers, not to become easily unsettled or alarmed by some prophecy, report or letter supposed to have come from us, saying that the day of the Lord has already come. Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way, for [that day will not come] until the APOSTASY occurs first and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of perdition (destruction), the opposing and exalting himself above every so called God or object of worship so as for him in the temple of God to sit down setting forth he himself that he is a God.

We need to notice that Paul states the conditions for the Day of the Lord or coming back of Christ: 1. There needs to be first an apostasy (letting go of the moral values and civic laws). 2. Second, once those laws have been eroded away, the man with no law (antichrist) is revealed. The apostle Paul calls this antichrist, the "son of perdition." This appelative was uttered about Judas, the man who turned Jesus over to the religious authorities of the time. Paul also states that the blasphemous antichrist has a big ego, that he exalts himself above every object of worship, and in his ruling he sets himself as a God.

2 Thessalonians 2:5-9 Don’t you remember that when I was with you I used to tell you these things? And now you know what is holding it back, so that it may be revealed at the proper time. For the secret power of lawlessness is already at work; but the one who now holds it back will continue to do so till it is taken out of the way. And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will overthrow with the breath of His mouth and destroy by the splendor of His coming

This person practices lawlessness; he or she does not follow the laws of the land we see in

2 Thessalonians,  The Apostle Paul states the same thing as the book of Revelation: that during the government of this antichrist, there would be "all kinds of counterfeit miracles, signs and wonders" which deceive the crowds into supporting this evil person. We know that this Leopard Beast/Antichrist is the LAST ruler on earth because the bible says that "the Lord Jesus will overthrow with the breath of His mouth and destroy by the splendor of His coming."

 2 Thessalonians 2:9-12 The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with the work of Satan displayed in all kinds of counterfeit miracles, signs and wonders, and in every sort of evil that deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness.

This evil person is in power for 42 months (3 and 1/2 years)... short of a 4 year presidency... and then another beast (government leader) rises.

The False Prophet

Revelation 13:12 And he [the False Prophet] exercises all the power of the first beast before it, and causes the earth and them who dwell in it to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.

It seems that the Leopard Beast/Antichrist suffers a near fatal blow from an opponent, but with the help of modern science recovers from the deadly wound. The second leader (False Prophet), who performs great miracles, seems to be ruling while the first one is recuperating. 

Revelation 13:14 And deceives them that dwell on the earth by means of the signs which it had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and lived.

Revelation 13:15 And it had power to give spirit [life] to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be KILLED. 		knife

This 2nd beast (False Prophet,) therefore, works in unison with the 1st beast (Leopard-Beast,) probably because the same government party is in office. 

We should notice though, that after the first beast is wounded, the government becomes more restrictive... there is more "security," and probably martial law. Remember that the bible tells us that the return of Christ will not occur "until the apostasy occurs and the person of lawlessness is revealed."

 

Therefore, the evil Leopard Beast could be identified by:

a) the near fatal wound that this person will receive

b) the apostasy (moral degradation) at the time of his/her government

c) the restriction of civil liberties after the near fatal wound of the beast

d) the persecution of Christians


 Any citizen that would dare to voice a disagreement would be termed unpatriotic and flat out terrorist. The persecutions will then start, as has always been the case whenever totalitarian regimes are in power. We must notice that the persecutions will be mainly of Christians.

Revelation 13:7And it was given unto it to make war with the SAINTS, and to overcome them: and there was given it authority over every tribe and people and tongue and nation. 
Revelation 13:8 And ALL that dwell on the earth shall worship it  whose name hath not been written from the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb that hath been slain. 

Book

People who worship the Beast are not Christians; they are not written in the book of life. Real Christians who worship Jesus are inscribed in the book of life and sealed with the Seal of God. David has a reference to people who are not written in the book of life.

Psalms 69:28 May they be blotted out of the book of life And may they not be recorded with the righteous.

Those who obey the Beast will be tormented with fire and brimstone in the lake of fire.

Revelation 14:9-10 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worships the beast and its image, and receive [its] mark in his forehead, or in his hand. The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: 

Revelation 19:20 And the [Leopard] beast was taken, and with it the False Prophet that wrought miracles before it, with which it deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped its image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.

In contrast, those who refuse the Mark of the Beast will be victorious. 

Revelation 15:2 And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire; and them that come off victorious from the beast, and from its image, and from the number of its name, standing by the sea of glass, having harps of God. 

Be alert, these prophecies are soon about to happen. Make sure you are counted with the righteous.
